What kind of information is registered?
You may include as much, or as little, as you wish. Typically you might include information on immunizations, illnesses, allergies and special needs. However, when a hospital has more
comprehensive medical information, it can provide treatment more safely and effectively, especially in cases of severe allergies or special conditions.

Who besides myself should have access to my child's medical records?
Caregivers such as baby sitters, day care centers, schools, camps, grandparents, close friends - whomever you choose - and, of course, if your child is ill or injured, accredited hospitals.

You can provide anyone you choose with a read-only password, and show them how to go online to obtain
the needed information.

How will a hospital know if my child's records are registered with kid records?
Any accredited hospital can access the database to search for your child's records when he or she is ill or injured.

What is an "accredited hospital"?
Accreditation by the Joint Commission (JCAHO) is
recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality indicating that an
organization meets certain performance standards. Because these
standards reflect state-of-the-art performance expectations,
organizations meeting these standards improve their ability to provide
quality patient care. Healthcare organizations seek Joint Commission
accreditation primarily as a means to enhance organization performance.
